What a day!! (05-12-2009)
What a day what a day!!! When I arrived on the airport there where over a 100 people waiting for me. That was unbelievable! I thought that it couldn't get crazier but it did. After a good night of sleep I had a busy schedule the next day. First I had 2 interviews one for TV west and the other one was for het Jeugdjournaal (youth news). The cool thing about het Jeugdjounaal was that they did an item about me in 2000 when I was just 12 years old and they showed that footages again. Check out the item below it's hilarious!
The whole day we had a limousine that we could use with thank to Holidaycars.com. With the limo we drove to the town hall where I got honored by the major of my town Noordwijk. I got a sliver lighthouse as a gift and it look super nice. Then we had a great lunch.
With the limo we drive to the O'Neill HQ they told me that we would have a drink with a few people. But when I walk in their where over a 100 people waiting for me again!! All together we had a drink eat some cake and celebrate the world title. I got some super cool gifts from USA Vision Eyewear I got my signature sunglasses in gold! O'Neill gave me a Hyper Freak surf board and the coolest thing of all is that from now on I have my own signature board short, t-shirt, cap and back pack. Thanks a lot O'Neill!!!!! I'll show u guy when I get the samples.
The day was not over yet cause after visiting O'Neill we went to Jorplace for a party! All my friends where there and we partied super hard. I still have a hangover but it was all writhed. This where moments to never forget!!! Thanks everyone!!!
